Just LiKe New

Last year, Raymond and I purchased for eachother a couple of matching Unearthen charms; if you haven't heard of it yet, you may have seen attempts and imitations of the idea floating around in Etsy shops and the like. Simply put, they consist of beautiful crystals encased in a spent bullet. It's a rather juxtaposing creation and we were all over it. In particular, we had ordered the .22 caliber bullet and Topaz crystal (both of our birthstones) combination from Bona Drag, one of my favorite online shops for flair.

Since then, his particular charm has gone thru a Series of Unfortunate Events. Twice now it has broken in its delicate nature and twice now we have sent it back to be replaced. Please do not mistake this as a complaint, because I'm actually doing the opposite. Just wanted to thank Gina over at Unearthen and to Heather over at Bona Drag for their quick, friendly and amazing service via e-mail over at both ends.

A couple days ago, we received his charm back and I can't believe the state it came back in (I had sent it wrapped in Bounty-the-quicker-picker-upper in a tiny little $2 bubble wrap envelope). It was just like opening it for the first time again, only this time I could document it. See for yourself:

I guess what I'm getting at is even though there are others out there, without that acclaimed UN (see last photo) or that signature snakeskin tissue paper, you just aren't getting the complete package in the end. It definitely pays to get the real deal, right? Right.
