The Duplex was designed by
Constance Guisset and like the name entails, it is a home for two beings; two that would have never lived together otherwise. It is an aquarium AND a cage, favoring the improbable encounter between the underwater world and the aerial one. The aquarium is domed upwards on the inside so as to create a space where the bird can fly at the same visual level as the fish... it's definitely a surprising encounter to the human eye to see them chillin together in the same space! Not to mention the aquarium is placed
above the cage - creating an even further illusion to see the fish floating over top of the birds (see last photo).
