DIY: Spike Your Havaiana's

{bleachblack}

When it comes to DIY projects, it is with no doubt that the girls over at Bleach Black kill at it. Their latest one arose from their boredom with summer's footwear (gladiators, um gladiators, more gladiators), so Valerie took to her trusty havaiana's and attacked them with some spikes. See the whole tutorial here.

Couldn't Get Enough

"T-shirt by Raquel Allegra."
I'm thinking of shredding this shirt from Zara, but I'm a little scared I'll do it wrong and wreck it, which would cause me great grief (oh, good grief Charlie Brown) because it's one of my favorite shirts. Hmm... gotta test my shredding skills out on some old rags first and I'll let you know how it turns out.

GGGB Quotables #1: Bad Idea

"Nothing sweeps a girl off her feet like domestic abuse followed by banging one of your exes while you’re 'on a break'."
— The Superficial, on Chris Brown and his old new girlfriend victim

To Zip, Or Knot To Zip

When being "lazy" has its advantage: supposedly she was tired of zipping up her boots,

so she knotted them instead...

U*tique

If you’re anything like me, I bet you've been a sucker to trying almost everything when it comes to make-up, skincare, ETC., and you end up with unnecessary beauty products, only to take up space on your shelf...

U*tique is a high-tech solution for the beauty obsessed and offers an assortment of iconic "must haves" from luxury and beauty today, no more than 50 products at a time, all hand picked by their very fussy product specialists with backgrounds in global beauty, trend-hunting and innovation; meaning they only have room for the Best, leaving the guesswork out of shopping, no clerks, no lineups. Because time is a luxury.

Talking In Third Person

Cartoons based on 32 Facebook status messages of artist Marissa Falco's friends, for The Sketchbook Project. Makes you realize how weird and useless they kind of actually are, but anyways these were my favorites.

The Bossini Aquavolo

I'm posting this because in the last couple of days the showerhead in my bathroom has gone insanepsycho and I wish I could replace it with the Aquavolo. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden the pressure of the water got super high and I should be hopping in it right now to get ready but I really don't want to because it hurts. If I had the Aquavolo it would be calming like the rainfall or soothing like a waterfall. Instead it's more like a hailstorm. This is a pretty useless post but a very serious matter nonetheless. It's like when you're staying in a hotel and the showerhead just isn't the same as the one at home; it throws off your my day.

Furniture Abuse

BREAK YA NECK. In case the Smash Alarm Clock wasn't good enough for you, here is another way to take your frustration out onto your furniture. Designed by Reddish, this lamp has a break point in the middle of its stem that turns off when detached, and turns back on when you put it back together. So basically to turn it off, you break it's neck!

Badass Gear

In response to the nice weather we've been having lately, I've ironically just realized how I've only gone boarding once this season. Damn.

Deemed the "Lamborghini of Snowboards", The Whip FR-117 is the result of four years of research to revolutionize the snowboard. It is designed to fit better, feel lighter, go faster, cruise smoother, turn quicker, edge harder, carve sharper, jump higher, and land softer... just be ready to drop $1900 for this upgrade.

Monday Morning

Already?! Damn, the weekend went by so fast =/. Feels like it was just yesterday that I did my TGIF post; oh actually while we're on that topic I may as well talk about the changes made to my weekend after that was posted:

i) the suspected Friday night dinner and a movie actually ended up being a sheesha sesh at La Brava, with KH, CH, JJ, EZ and SV

ii) Saturday night consisted of getting off work at 9PM; early enough to go out, but instead I declined the invitation to SB's house party, and studied at home (priorities!)

iii) my much anticipated Sunday breakfast is postponed to next Saturday morning, due to a conflict with somebody's work schedule =P

I didn't even have a crazy weekend, yet still I found it so hard to wake up this morning... but I'm assuming that this is the case for everyone on Monday Mornings? Blame it on the annoying alarm clock that starts off the day by waking you up obnoxiously. For sure I'm not the only one that wants to smash my alarm clock (actually I use my iPhone to wake me up, but you know what I mean), so for those of you who wake up frustrated, this is for you:

The Smash Alarm Clock by Matthias Lange

There's no better way to greet the day than to start it with a bit of violence! To turn it off, you simply punch it.
