Sitting On A Cloud

The Cloud Sofa: a concept design dreamed up by D.K. Wei, that imagines a soft cloud-like chaise lounge that floats by magnetic force.

Do What You Love, Love What You Do

The Selby features photographs, paintings and videos by Todd Selby of interesting people and their creative spaces.

My favorite creative space so far: none other than A.Wang's office in Manhattan, NYC. This is where all the magic begins!!! Much like his collections, it's so simple, minimal, and classic. I especially love the vintage black Chesterfield couch.

Furniture Abuse

BREAK YA NECK. In case the Smash Alarm Clock wasn't good enough for you, here is another way to take your frustration out onto your furniture. Designed by Reddish, this lamp has a break point in the middle of its stem that turns off when detached, and turns back on when you put it back together. So basically to turn it off, you break it's neck!

Sunday Night Insomnia

I can't sleep. If only someone could read me a bedtime story. Or if only I had bedsheets that were like pages of a book so that I could read myself a bedtime story... LOL

Fish Gotta Swim, Birds Gotta Fly

The Duplex was designed by Constance Guisset and like the name entails, it is a home for two beings; two that would have never lived together otherwise. It is an aquarium AND a cage, favoring the improbable encounter between the underwater world and the aerial one. The aquarium is domed upwards on the inside so as to create a space where the bird can fly at the same visual level as the fish... it's definitely a surprising encounter to the human eye to see them chillin together in the same space! Not to mention the aquarium is placed above the cage - creating an even further illusion to see the fish floating over top of the birds (see last photo).
