Unlikely Pair

Mackage leather jacket, Wilfred light-wash cropped denim jacket, AA seamless tank top in cream, black bandeau and nylon tricot leggings, H&M scarf.

  • I have been wearing this denim jacket all weekend. To work, to the bar, to school! After many unsuccessful attempts at trying to find the perfect one (UO, American Eagle, even the Gap), I was definitely excited to see this Wilfred one in at work. $75, not bad for a basic I know I'm going to wear hella.
  • Recently I've noticed the use of a denim jacket under other jackets. On the Runway (DSQUARED2), in photos via The Sartorialist, etc. So I thought I'd try it; it actually wasn't that bad although it was a little uncomfortable writing notes in class today. Movement is a little restricted haha.
  • Remember when I posted about how I had "yet to find an outfit" to wear with my AA leggings? Call it an epiphany or whatever, but all of a sudden I can't seem to NOT wear these. They almost go with everything now.
  • I need to trim my bangs!

MILAN 09: DSquared2

After seeing and loving coverage of the Men's Fall 2009 RTW collection posted a while back (by IYBC), I have to admit that I have been anxiously waiting for this show. Now, here it is, a mere month later; and I'm sorry but holy shit it was worth the wait. They exceeded my expectations to infinity and beyond (did I just quote Buzz Lightyear lol). But anyways, Dean and Dan Caten as you know already I'm sure are impeccable when it comes to fusing formal and casual, and leave it to them to acessorize their girls with none other than Starbucks venti lattes and Mochaccinos mocha frappuccinos, Us Weekly gossip magazines, and iPhones (surprising, I thought they would've used Berry's). If that is not the epitome of what girls want to look like, or what girls are really "Ready-To-Wear" and be seen in (think Paparazzi), then I don't know what is. I apologize in advance for posting pretty much the whole collection and for my sporadic critiques to come, I seriously lost sleep thinking of this and am just too excited. Introducing: DSquared2, in a different perspective.

I know I always say this, but that blazer with electric blue lining (more of that color to come) is perfect. The trench coat is amazing with its oversized collar and sleeves, it reminds me of the Paper Bag Princess, gone trendy. Suede booties with socks, so cute. A suit vest overtop of a denim vest!? Crazy. Sweatpants are no longer sweatpants when they're purple and paired with badass heels dressed with chains. Oh my gosh, there are just so many layers I can't even handle it. It's like you're supposed to undress them and take one piece off and they'd still have an amazing outfit put together...

I grouped these photos and called it "Jackets"; the red velvet blazer, the brown leather jackets, oh and a little denim one too, peeking from under there! I just want to cuddle with my boyf in that checkered scarf, looks so big and soft. And after that, I just want to wear my boyf's jeans and cuff them, too. The tribal bangles and the fiery feathers on the dress quietly scream LV, but are still so fierce!

...speaking of Tribal!!! Well, more like Jungle, but you know what I mean.

Unfortunately not in love with the actual clothes on these girls, but please pay more attention to their amazing accessories. In looove with the colored gloooves.

Told you there was more electric blue coming, my new favorite color probably. In the Men's collection it was bow ties with leather jackets, vests over hoodies, tuxedo jackets and denim; but for the Ladies? Gorgeous gowns paired with an everyday black bag, a trucker hat and belted, and a bomber topped off with a wool scarf.

Now if only studying for an ACCT midterm were as easy as going crazy over a Milan runway show...
