All day, Everyday

As tweeted, I could alternatively wear each of these t-shirts for days straight if I had to. I think I'm going on Day 4 already in my white one? Plus my mom is in Las Vegas so she hasn't done my laundry lately? Who am I kidding... that's not my excuse. I learnt how to do my laundry just this year ;). The truth of the matter is that I wear them because they are probably the best investment pieces I've ever bought, kids. I've got nothing but sheer love for these two in particular, even though I've been getting really cold (and perhaps a little dirty) lately.

My Second Skin

These shorts that I bought at the Barney's in Florida may as well be glued onto my legs. Can't. Take. Them. Off. Hope I haven't made my (ggg)uests uncomfortable with the impromptu shot of my back side, but I'd like to think that these guys do wonders in terms of being flattering. It's not everyday you find a pair of denim shorts with great craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail... big surprise there, Marc.

Secret Motives

Boyfriend's Hugo Boss shirt

I bought him this shirt when I was in Florida for five reasons:
  1. It's a v-neck
  2. It's Hugo Boss
  3. It was on sale
  4. I loved the color
  5. ...so that I could borrow it?

Cropped

Call it shameless self-promotion, but they just posted this piece which is
hitting stores soon and I am absolutely in love with it. Yay for new silhouettes:

GGG to Vancity #7: Inexpensive Thrills

tee by AZFN.

I love being caught off guard with simple yet such genius designs such as this oversized pocket just dead-on in the middle of the shirt. It's like it's not supposed to be there yet it is perfectly supposed to be there at the same time. Who better to come up with that than William Anzevino and Richard Florence, the fashion duo known for their juxtaposition? By far one of my favorite (and funnest) pieces I own, and also not so surprising to me that it's from the Men's collection but as soon as my boyf saw it he knew I'd think it was sick.

sandals by sam edelman.

There was a section of the store that was dedicated to "last pairs" and after I had already purchased my tee, one of the girls decided (tactically, I'm sure) to ask what size feet I had, and from then on I figured it was destiny that both last pairs were itty bitty size 5's. I'm still totally into the whole tribal idea and from the intricate bead detailing to the real pony hair used on these giada's... the shoe just fit. I apologize for my lame attempt at turning this story into a modern day Cinderalla... but sometimes shopping is just that. Oh and another noteable feature: rear zip in the back? Don't we all love easy access these days.

Matthew Williamson for H&M

I feel like I'm the very last one to blog about this collaboration, but it's not my fault Calgary always seems to be slightly delayed when it comes to keeping up with fashion. The Matthew Williamson for H&M collection hit the sales floor just today - and thankfully I was able to pop by just before work. I ended up being a couple minutes late actually, all because I wanted needed to get my hands on something; what made it worse was the fact that they couldn't hold anything from the collection so I was incredibly rushed. Hopefully once I get back from Van, I can actually take some time to try on some of the other pieces (if there are any left by then). Although I actually find myself quite confident that there will be, since shoppers here in Calgary compared to New York or any other of the openings are way more nonchalant, or dare I say clueless; dozens of girls walked by the collection not even knowing what was going on! Shame shame. But more for me. Also a little disappointed we didn't get a lot of the anticipated pieces seen in pictures that surfaced the internet prior to the actual release (like this Silk Mix Electric Blue Suit!), but otherwise quite satisfied with what I ended up getting:

Ines

Currently my favorite tank top, by Ines (pronounced In-iss). Don't know much about the brand itself (even Google Searching it, nothing comes up) but all I know is that Aritzia has been receiving a good influx of wonderful pieces by them. Also... I'm beginning to be oddly attracted to anything marble/acid wash/tie-dyed.

Modern Amusement

I was immediately drawn to this sweater as soon as I saw it come out of stock on Thursday night. You may be wondering, sweater? But Calgary is finally coming into it's Summer season! Well trust me on this, from the bright colored stripes, to the deep v-neck, to the amazingly light and airy cotton that it's made out of... this sweater is perfect for Summer.

It became even more perfect when I went to look at the label and saw that distinguishable little birdy... Aritzia now carries select Modern Amusement pieces! Especially exciting for me, who's been a big time fan of the playful brand in which the boyf has admired for a couple of years now also. Didn't even know they had a Women's collection. Grabbed the only XS, hadn't even been on the floor for a week but I loved it so much, my lovely SM let me get it with my discount still. Madd hook-ups!

It's A Sheer Thing

I've rediscovered my love for this sheer, white Wilfred t-shirt with its asymmetrical zip going down the middle. I can almost guarantee that it'll be my go-to top for the Summer, if and when it decides to come...

RE: The Stacker

Found a bunch of these thin silver & gold rings laying around my room, have no clue where they're from (which personally, I think makes them a little bit more amazing) but all I know is that I found them at the right time (GGGB Trend Spotting #4: The Stacker) and that they'll be piled high on my fingers from here on in!
