My Second Skin

These shorts that I bought at the Barney's in Florida may as well be glued onto my legs. Can't. Take. Them. Off. Hope I haven't made my (ggg)uests uncomfortable with the impromptu shot of my back side, but I'd like to think that these guys do wonders in terms of being flattering. It's not everyday you find a pair of denim shorts with great craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail... big surprise there, Marc.

Denim Lovers: Beware

dutil.
303 WEST CORDOVA STREET

Denim. The ultimate style staple and for some, the ultimate investment. Imagine an entire store dedicated to it and low and behold you have dutil. - a denim boutique just shy of 3 years old. Within this short time, it has become one of of the most influential destinations for premium denim in North America, carrying a strong mix of directional brands (Nudie Jeans, JBrands, Earnest Sewns...), but still stays true to its roots and carries the original classics as well. Even more exciting, GGGB is thrilled to report that dutil. is working on their very own jean which is expected to hit the market place later in the year.

BF

My boyf's v-neck from Zara, Current/Elliott boyfriend jeans.
  • I was lazy today, hence why my outfit consists of a T-shirt and jeans...

  • Surprisingly, my boyf's t-shirts actually almost fit me; this is a good thing for when I sleepover and forget to bring extra clothes for the next day. Besides, S/S09 is just inundated with the Boyfriend trend. What better way to rock this look than to legitimately be in your boyfriends clothes?

  • My slouchy Current/Elliott's: considering my lack of putting together a well-thought out outfit this morning, these went well with the idea. You can't really see but there are paint splotches and holes everywhere, very messy, laidback, kind of like I was whitewashing the fence with Tom Sawyer earlier but just decided not to change...

  • Definitely a "boyfriend" jean, they magically make me have no butt! Which is odd, because I indeed have a butt. LOL

How Could You Be So Heartless

F21 bubble top, Wilfred black tanktop, braided belt from UO,

Mackage leather, SFAM Roxannes, Jewelry both from the boyf.

  • Seriously probably the 2 most overworn pieces in my possesion are my Mackage and those Roxannes. Hopefully you can see them in this photo but the details in the jacket are to die for.

  • I've been wanting to wear this F21 shirt for the longest time but it is so awkwardly bubbled that I had postponed wearing it for months after I got back from LA. Finally I belted it and was happy with how it turned out so this is what I wore to work for my Saturday shift.

  • I never take off my T&CO necklace or my ring from Raymond; minimal silver jewelry at it's best.

Wear for Love/Love for Wear

Yay, meet my newest addition to the family:

The 1988 Skinny; in the Loved Destroyed wash

Lately I've been alternating between the same 3 pairs of jeans (my SFAM Roxanne's, my ES Decca's, and my ES black Harlan's) - all in which are dark, crisp tapered denim that obviously go well with pretty much anything I decide to pair with them. But! With Spring making its way into the city of Calgary (slowly, but surely), I decided that I need to lighten things up a bit. Be a little messy. I want to relaxxx. Doesn't that scream Los Angeles lifestyle? LA based Current Elliott's arrived at my work a couple of weeks ago, and it was a much anticipated launch having already seen them in photos of celeb's like Lindsay and Katie. Normally I'm not one to indulge in the "Destroyed" look, but when they pair it with the word "Loved" in front of it, my heart flutters a little, and I just can't resist.

Looking forward to sunnier days or summer nights to wear these! I can already see it now.
