GGGB Inspiration No. 1: Mario Testino

One of my favorite photographers of all time. Of course I love all of the commercial work that he does for Vogue, Vanity Fair, etc., but what I really appreciate is his more personal archive of off-screen moments, that he often snatches spontaneously before, during and after the more official sittings. The result is a portrait not just of a generation of the most wanted and talked-about, but an invitation to be let in to the magnetic stars of the 21st century in a way that nobody else has access to like he does. All photos scanned by me from my sister's Mario Testino - Let Me In! book (purchased from UO in Los Angeles last summer). These are just a few of my favorites:

Happy Urth Day (PT. 2)

A mid-day lunch in LA last summer

@ The Urth Caffé

8565 MELROSE AVENUE

as seen frequented by countless celebrities, and in episodes of Entourage alike

good company, good eats, good health

EVERYTHING is organic (they don't even sell pop!)

... hands down one of the best and most whole-hearted meals I've ever had.

GGGB 4sks #3: Love It Or Leave It? (PT.2)

BANG BANG. An image of Rihanna showing off her new gun tattoo(s) surfaced the internet just today, and despite the haters who think it's tacky, I personally like the idea -- girl makes anything look dope. Done by artist Bang Bang in Los Angeles.

TWENTY ONE. En lieu of the recently turn(ed)(ing) 21yr olds, I'd like to congratulate you all on finally being at the legal age acceptable Everywhere in the World by showing you how much it sucks to NOT be 21 at a bar in the US. Enjoy yourselves! I'll catch up in two years =/.
