I'm Not Even 21 Yet

These were all brought into my possession because my Dad decided to give my sister and I a brownie to split at Crossiron Mills last weekend. I assure you this does not happen everyday and I am one of those people that feel much better justifying my purchases knowing that I earned the money used to buy them... but I caved in this time. It makes me feel a little better knowing that I got enough bang for my buck ($50, to be exact) doing so at FXXI. Anyways, I think he knew right away what he was getting himself into because that night when we came home he greeted us with a "So, what did you girls buy?", which in turn lead to a mini show&tell in the kitchen and a couple of kisses on his cheek before bedtime. That and the fact that he didn't ask for the change, haha:

Random Orlando Batch: Siesta Keys Beach

As I mentioned earlier, we had planned our Florida vacation down to each day. We had purchased the 4 Park-Hopper pass, which meant that considering how altogether we had 5 full days, one of those got to be a "free" day, sans theme park. To be honest, they get quite tiring so this was strategically sandwiched right in the middle of the trip (Day 3). What to do then? We wanted to do absolutely nothing. And the best place to do this? On the Worlds Finest, whitest sand, of course.

Random Orlando Batch: The Grand FiNale

Because of the many parks to choose from in Disneyworld, it doesn't hurt a little bit to plan out your days or the order in which you're going to do them in (as is most vacations in general, but park-hopping takes strategy!). One thing we all agreed on was that we wanted Magic Kingdom to be our very last stop, overall because it is the epitome of Disneyworld but most importantly because of the traditional Electrical Parade and Fireworks show offered at the end of the night. I remember this being my favorite part as a kid. As the night progressed however, some clouds decided to roll in, some lighting began to spark throughout the sky, and there were speculations of a huge downpour about to rain on our parade... but of course, it's Florida right? No big surprise there. My family and I ended up standing under Cinderella's castle awaiting the expected showers for about 15 minutes and I swear my Fairy Godmother heard me wish for it "just not to rain tonight, please" and bippity boppity boo, it never did. Syke! The Electrical Parade at that point had already been cancelled, but thankfully the fireworks show - aptly titled "Wishes" - did go on.

"These Are Not Toys...

... these are works of art!"- NORMAN FAJARDO, avid toy art collector

The full set was available for purchase, if only I could've grabbed them all...
Instead my sister and I each picked one up, and I got an extra one for the boyf.

Random Orlando Batch

I enjoy putting up a picture from each day like this rather than posting too much detail into them.
Or maybe I'm just lazy. Better posts soon. :)

GGGB Quotables #7: Hang To Dry

"Because I had enough clothes to be able to not have to."
- me, on explaining to my Mom how I could wear something different everyday for 3 weeks, justifying why I didn't do my own laundry while she's been away.

SHE DIDN'T REALLY LIKE THAT ANSWER? =/

GGG On Holidays #1 (PT.2): Father's Day Dinner

Although most often reliable and handy when it comes to picking a place to eat when you and your friends just can't decide, the iPhone app Urban Spoon is NOT ALWAYS trustworthy in the suggestions it gives. I posted earlier yesterday night that we had reservations at this restaurant called La Viena; drove by the place which was tucked into this little corner off of Kensington and I know it's harsh to judge a book by its cover, but we ended up trashing our 7PM reservation and decided to look for something a little more... dare I say: presentable. Besides, the kids were treating Dad out to dinner and you can't blame us for wanting it to be a good one, no?

Done, Son!

Yesterday my little brother "graduated" from Grade 9. Couple more months and this guy will be in high school... I KNOW RIGHT?! Unbelievable. I am such a sucker when it comes to people growing up.
