Random Orlando Batch: Siesta Keys Beach
As I mentioned earlier, we had planned our Florida vacation down to each day. We had purchased the 4 Park-Hopper pass, which meant that considering how altogether we had 5 full days, one of those got to be a "free" day, sans theme park. To be honest, they get quite tiring so this was strategically sandwiched right in the middle of the trip (Day 3). What to do then? We wanted to do absolutely nothing. And the best place to do this? On the Worlds Finest, whitest sand, of course.

- Convergence Café (formerly known as Koi) = a pretty daope location for a Goodbye Dinner. Classy yet chill, traditional dishes with modern twists... convergence at its finest. Order the Ninja Food (I know, right?!).
- Too many times have I gotten food "wrapped up" and forgotten it at the restaurant... FML.
- Canada is officially out of The Recession, kids... which means no more "We're in a recession," excuses/justifications. Now we can all go back to just being straight-up cheap. Whaaat, there's no need to hide it!
- Someone please tell me how a girl from Calgary can watch 500 Days Of Summer? Any local theatres? Anyone? Bueller?
- Picked up mi(new)Phone the other day. I've spent quite some time lately re-inputting contacts and info, uploading folders of photos, and basically customizing the shit out of it all weekend.
- So stoked on: picture messaging, having voicemail for the first time ever and GPS
- My friend and her boyf got a black cat and they named it Sookie. I hate cats, but that is the sickest name ever for one.
- Babe, don't forget to get True Blood tonight!
- ... and Entourage. We ♥ (downloading) our HBO series.
- The Visa® bill is almost paid off, and will be back in business shortly. Uh oh!
- Lately I've been having this strange urge to get something pierced, or tattooed... Uh oh! (x2)
- Ironically, my 2 pairs of Current/Elliott's are currently my favorite pairs of jeans.
- And aside from those, 3 days straight in my MJ shorts.

Ain't No Mountain

As I'm sure you all know, I've just recently gotten back from a family vacation down to Orlando, FL. And right after that, literally the day after, my best friend and I road-tripped it over to the beautiful British Columbia, to hit up the Fairmont Hot Springs as we've been doing every Summer since 2006. Yeah, I'm dark now. Not only have I been on a slight hiatus from the Blog, but from Life itself, too. It's nice to getaway for a while, especially when it's with people you love to be around, but in the end it is just a getaway and you find yourself wanting to come back, no?
Yesterday was my first shift at work since my vacation, and it's funny how you can go almost 2 weeks without working only to come back to the Store and have everything still operate the exact same... retail is retail but it's the people that make the days different. That being said, on a heavier note, currently the atmosphere in the Store is somber and reminiscent; one of our girls that used to work with us got into a car accident this past weekend and has passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to all friends and family affected by this terrible event.
After this week, I'll be starting to work full-time, 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts... meaning less blogging, more money. Oh and by the way, we hit 500+ posts not too long ago! Yay, go me. More milestones that are happening in my Life? Um, my iPhone randomly broke, so I'm heading off to buy the 3G today. I guess you could call that a milestone and I guess you could call that an upgrade.
Slowly getting everything back into order... have some "bills" to pay, a million things to post about, new clothes, new toys, I have yet to do my laundry, oh my gosh and Summer is halfway done already.

WEDNESDAY: woke up next to him / made our own breakfasts / sat at the kitchen table, read the newspaper / had a date at the zoo (see photos below) / searched the gift shops for wolf shirts / came extremely close to finding one / got lucky and left before the rain started / came home / watched marley and me / cried. / made a late lunch salad / took an afternoon nap / went to wing night / watched sytycd / j's / saw the hangover / laughed.
