As per usual, the weekend flew by and inevitably Sunday has arrived. Like I said I wasn't looking forward to this weekend because already it's over and tomorrow is Back To School. And not the BTS that's almost a little secretly exciting because you get to buy new school supplies (so fun) or a new fall wardrobe (that ur parents pay for); this is the BTS that follows just one short break that's notoriously otherwise known as Suicide Prevention week, meant for students to catch up in their courses and chill out for a bit before they literally STFU (stress the f out). Poor me, I didn't catch up and am stressing the f out because I didn't study once during these past 7 days... but Reading Week 09 nonetheless was much needed and well spent non-academically.
FRIDAY:
Prestige Worldwide had it's 3rd practice this week! This time during the day which was a nice change, not to mention we had the whole Hamptons rink to ourselves so it was sick. I gave in to no longer just being benched during practices, so JA and I actually went to go buy our own sets of skates so we could join in on the ice. (Boys sz 3.5, $79.99!) Had an after-practice late lunch at Bobby Chao's, chilled and slept at the boyf's; cue Saturday.
SATURDAY:
Worked from 2PM until 9PM, drove down to the dirty south to JA's house to celebrate the news on getting an interview, ate Mcdonald's, drank Tequila, played drinking games, watched Zack and Miri Make A Porno; cue Sunday.
SUNDAY:
Slept in until about 10AM, late lunch date at The Olive Garden with the boyf, caught up with an old buddy on shift at the Home Depot, gawked at the CRXSi at Best Buy, watched The 81st annual Oscars Awards ceremony; unfortunately cue Monday...

Again

Benched

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit 'bout how to give and take
But since I came here, felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake
See I'm a young soul in this very strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit 'bout what is true and fake
But why all this hate? Try to communicate
Finding trust and love is not always easy to make
This is a happy end
Cause you don't understand
Everything you have done
Why's everything so
This is a happy end
Come and give me your hand
I'll take you far away
NEW SOUL - YAEL NAEM
10 Things From Today #3: $75, Prestige Worldwide and Coughing Chloe
- It's Thursday already, not excited for the weekend because I know what's to follow once it ends. (SCHOOL)
- Decided to pick up a 9-4 shift yesterday, after realizing my expenditures almost overtake my earnings. =/ I did however find a Danscott paycheck for $75 in my purse, gotta cash that big one in.
- PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE begins! I genuinely enjoy being at the sidelines and watching; as long as I'm prepared, warm and have a hot chocolate I will be (already am) your biggest fan.
- Currently still in a state of bodily pain from boarding and yoga; I love it.
- DIY project in the works: denim display for the boyf's room. Went to JYSK and Rona on Tuesday but had no luck finding what we needed. Trip to Ikea maybe? (!!!)
- More Than Words, Hero, Officially Missing You: songs in rotation on the guitar/the only songs we know which is why they're in rotation.
- Chloe doesn't know how to cover her mouth when she coughs, I'm crossing my fingers I don't catch that shit too. LOL
- I made myself a bagel and stuck scrambled eggs in it this morning; yup, the joys of waking up at 11AM and having nothing better to do.
- Pretty jealous of your sick update/reconstructed look, haha.
- Only boring people get bored.

GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #1: He's Back!
Usually I'd be stressed out that it's Sunday because like I said before, there's so much work to be done. Nope no sir not the case today because the following week is READING WEEK! Not to mention the fact that I didn't get scheduled to work until Saturday... =/ so I really do have a whole 5-day-work-week off to just chill and cause some trouble (and by that I mean sit back and relax). Although I have a couple of projects that I should get started on soon, other than that I'm grateful that the majority of my tests (crammed one after the other) are done and over with going into the break. Bittersweet.
Moving back a bit to Friday: picked up Raymond from the airport, went to his house and unpacked, learnt some beginner chords for the Uke, ate pho for lunch, caught up on GG, HIMYM and FOtheC, munched on a bag of US-exclusive spicy cheetos, and literally took a 4hr nap. Meanwhile all of our friends were at M1, but you know us not very big fans of the bar - although it sounded like it was a Mcnally reunion and actually would've been nice to see everyone. Ohhhh well. After we woke up, we went to go eat Peking duck -- yeah, we still go there.
Saturday: finally had that morning brekkie with the friends (they loved it, they thought it was pfantastic), then headed to work for 2PM, was off by 9PM, then had Valentine's dinner with the boyf, the FPOE and his KPP. Thanks for dinner babe, yet another Vday down.
Tomorrow is Family Day, and I believe the sibs and I are going boarding at COP, as we do every year on this day. Usually dad takes us, but he took advantage of the long weekend and flew to Phoenix to get his golf on. So we're taking the lil' bro ourselves... and when I say "lil' bro", I mean the almost-taller-than-me-15yr-old who just got his first pimple (on his chin) yesterday hahahah.
Yay, don't care if it's not LL or Nakiska; I'm just excited to use my board and hit the slopes again.
