"I'm not doing these until my Best Friend comes!"

I'm proud to say that the boyf spotted this amazing jacket before I did. I swear he has such a good eye because even though it was on the mannequin I probably would have never even noticed it's existence. We were going down the escalator and he looked up at it while we were leaving midway and all we could really see was the popped-up collar of the jacket but already we both knew it was badass... we looped right back around and took the escalator back up and then it Had Me At Hello: with its silver snap buttons (that glisten in the sunlight...), its zippered sleeves (that I will probably almost always wear unzipped) and its oversized collar (that for some reason I feel the need to hold and pose with... like a gangster, or Count Dracula).

If this collection isn't taking you on an adventure to 19th century Paris, I don't know what will (other than a time machine or the ghost of Christmas past). The inspiration comes from what are called the grandes horizontales. Not knowing what they were, after a couple of Google searches and article readings I am amazed at how well she actually captured this lifestyle into her RTW collection. They were the femmes galantes and demimondaines of Paris: mistresses I guess, for lack of use of the parisian terms today. These women were on the fringes of respectable society because they were supported by wealthy lovers. Everyday wear for them? Velvet, soutache trim, floral prints, kickass headdresses and boots...

Usually I'd be stressed out that it's Sunday because like I said before, there's so much work to be done. Nope no sir not the case today because the following week is READING WEEK! Not to mention the fact that I didn't get scheduled to work until Saturday... =/ so I really do have a whole 5-day-work-week off to just chill and cause some trouble (and by that I mean sit back and relax). Although I have a couple of projects that I should get started on soon, other than that I'm grateful that the majority of my tests (crammed one after the other) are done and over with going into the break. Bittersweet.
Moving back a bit to Friday: picked up Raymond from the airport, went to his house and unpacked, learnt some beginner chords for the Uke, ate pho for lunch, caught up on GG, HIMYM and FOtheC, munched on a bag of US-exclusive spicy cheetos, and literally took a 4hr nap. Meanwhile all of our friends were at M1, but you know us not very big fans of the bar - although it sounded like it was a Mcnally reunion and actually would've been nice to see everyone. Ohhhh well. After we woke up, we went to go eat Peking duck -- yeah, we still go there.
Saturday: finally had that morning brekkie with the friends (they loved it, they thought it was pfantastic), then headed to work for 2PM, was off by 9PM, then had Valentine's dinner with the boyf, the FPOE and his KPP. Thanks for dinner babe, yet another Vday down.
Tomorrow is Family Day, and I believe the sibs and I are going boarding at COP, as we do every year on this day. Usually dad takes us, but he took advantage of the long weekend and flew to Phoenix to get his golf on. So we're taking the lil' bro ourselves... and when I say "lil' bro", I mean the almost-taller-than-me-15yr-old who just got his first pimple (on his chin) yesterday hahahah.
Yay, don't care if it's not LL or Nakiska; I'm just excited to use my board and hit the slopes again.

I love when on-screen lovers transition into real life ones, but seriously the GG cast can't keep their hands to themselves! All of the romances are all tangled up between real life and the show and eachother and I'm almost starting to forget who's who in the zoo. They should all just be gf's and bf's, I'd watch hahaha. I'm sorry for another GG post, but seriously these two are cute as f:
