Ten Things From Today #13: Mina, Finals and Chuck

  1. So glad there's no hard feelings, thanks for appreciating my apology as a friend and professionally. Like you said, it is what it is and I was just misinformed.

  2. MINA'S BACK! Now my Tuesday's can resume as they should.

  3. Speaking of... I think it's funny how we all go to Hot Yoga at the same place but on different days of the week. Did anybody else notice that?

  4. $75 cheque from the Government of Canada; how much did you get and what are you spending it on? Mine's going towards the last little bit of Project Rebel, thanks for asking.

  5. B4d me, lately I've been parking in random lots that require permits. Have yet to get a ticket but considering I just said that I probably just jinxed it... shouldn't do that anymore. =/

  6. I should start studying for finals soon; it's expected considering I have 4 in the span of 6 days.

  7. Cleaned my room today, not worthy enough to be considered Spring Cleaning though.

  8. Stopped by Mikey's yesterday night for a bit, yay for living literally 30 seconds away.

  9. Currently driving with a temporary license, waiting on your my ID to come in.

  10. Can't wait to wash Chuck tmrw, he's so dirty. (BTW: Another GG hiatus? Nooo)

Checking In

  • Happy April Fools Day. Once again, another month has completely flown by.
  • April issues have hit the stands, haven't even finished reading my March ones yet.
  • Being a busy body is better than being a nobody: attend morning classes as per usual, meet with my ACCT group to (hopefully) complete Assignment #2, assist an extra dance rehearsal @ 4:30PM, head to the Registry because I "lost" my ID and "need to get a new one", and hopefully make it in time to watch the Diamond Dance-Off.
  • Stay in it as long as you can, Cuz. You'll miss it once its gone.
  • Countdown To The Crown: 24 until 04/25/09 and 39 until 05/09/09
  • FINALLY, the infamous B+N kiss that I posted oh-so-long ago happened on yesterday's episode of GG. I was beginning to think my sources were false. =/
  • Chuck needs to be cleaned, inside and out. Especially the junk in his trunk.
  • Opus / Hifi / Mile 1 / Thursden / Julliard's
  • S/S 09 Must Have: a jumper, romper, or one-piece of some sort. Never thought I could pull things like these off, but I found one that I can confidently (and hella comfortably) wear.
  • Tried painting my nails yesterday = FAIL. Book an appointment instead? Good idea.
  • Prestige Worldwide Update: vote on which sexy ho pose to put on the jersey (oh, boys) and Sunday practice.
  • Aritzia paycheck / Danscott paycheck
  • Tuesday nights with the boyf: Let's Just Be - Neyo describes them well.

10 Things From Today #8: Breaking Bad, Business Law and Toboozening

  1. Finally, BB started up again Sunday night, it is so intense already! I remember back in September when we found out Season 2 was going to start in March and were so sad because at the time it seemed so far away... crazy, where did those months in between go?
  2. On the other hand, GG is just torturing me with this break that they decided to take. Gosh, come back already. I need my Upper East Side dose of drama; the drama here in Calgary just does not cut it.
  3. My ACCT teacher was bashing Aritzia for its "high priced merchandise" and how he "doesn't understand this store" during class on Monday; I wanted to raise my hand and explain how well the company is doing despite the recession, but I kept to myself.
  4. We need to start remembering that Peking Duck is closed on Tuesdays. =(
  5. Gunna go buy my Business Law textbook soon because somebody scared me and said that I should start reading it now. =/ The class doesn't start for another 2 months.
  6. Still have my TNA and Talula 50's left to use; I just bought this cute cropped light denim jacket for my Wilfred one (show ya later), and the Current/Elliott's I posted a while back as my Branded.
  7. Going to be broke as a joke soon, I'm sitting down with DL tmrw to discuss going down to 1 shift a week before/during Finals and during my Block Week.
  8. That being said, Project Rebel? Maybe I should postpone it a couple months? Nah, I want it now hehe.
  9. Guilty online obsession: The Selby, expect some posts on this concept soon.
  10. I want to go snowboarding at least one more time before the season ends, or toboozening!!!

CHK IT: NEW JKT

HI GUYS HI READERS HI HATERS,

I'm proud to say that the boyf spotted this amazing jacket before I did. I swear he has such a good eye because even though it was on the mannequin I probably would have never even noticed it's existence. We were going down the escalator and he looked up at it while we were leaving midway and all we could really see was the popped-up collar of the jacket but already we both knew it was badass... we looped right back around and took the escalator back up and then it Had Me At Hello: with its silver snap buttons (that glisten in the sunlight...), its zippered sleeves (that I will probably almost always wear unzipped) and its oversized collar (that for some reason I feel the need to hold and pose with... like a gangster, or Count Dracula).

  1. my new Wilfred linen pants that I posted about a while back. Finally the weather got a little bit nicer and allowed me to wear these! They are high-waisted and tapered and look adorable full length or cuffed up into capris. Purchased and given at half-price to encourage staff to "start the trend" here and be walking advertisements.

  2. newly acquired said jacket; from H&M, $39.99! It's a sz 4, I totally wish they had a sz 2 but I think since it was so cheap I'll pay the extra to possibly go get it darted on the sides. Oh and I had a dove gray one on hold until the end of the day yesterday so that I could choose between the two... came home with the jacket in both colors.

  3. black ruffle collared shirt from UO. I wish these ruffles stood up a bit more and were gigantic like this blouse Blair Waldorf wears, but one can only dream to compare Urban Outfitters ($25) to Bill Blass ($1990 and Waiting List).

  4. TOTAL OUTFIT = $125. ;)

Weekend Wrap-up in the works and on it's way, enjoy the slew of MBFB(PT.2x) photos individually posted in the meantime.

NYC 09: Anna Sui

If this collection isn't taking you on an adventure to 19th century Paris, I don't know what will (other than a time machine or the ghost of Christmas past). The inspiration comes from what are called the grandes horizontales. Not knowing what they were, after a couple of Google searches and article readings I am amazed at how well she actually captured this lifestyle into her RTW collection. They were the femmes galantes and demimondaines of Paris: mistresses I guess, for lack of use of the parisian terms today. These women were on the fringes of respectable society because they were supported by wealthy lovers. Everyday wear for them? Velvet, soutache trim, floral prints, kickass headdresses and boots...

GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #1: He's Back!

Usually I'd be stressed out that it's Sunday because like I said before, there's so much work to be done. Nope no sir not the case today because the following week is READING WEEK! Not to mention the fact that I didn't get scheduled to work until Saturday... =/ so I really do have a whole 5-day-work-week off to just chill and cause some trouble (and by that I mean sit back and relax). Although I have a couple of projects that I should get started on soon, other than that I'm grateful that the majority of my tests (crammed one after the other) are done and over with going into the break. Bittersweet.

Moving back a bit to Friday: picked up Raymond from the airport, went to his house and unpacked, learnt some beginner chords for the Uke, ate pho for lunch, caught up on GG, HIMYM and FOtheC, munched on a bag of US-exclusive spicy cheetos, and literally took a 4hr nap. Meanwhile all of our friends were at M1, but you know us not very big fans of the bar - although it sounded like it was a Mcnally reunion and actually would've been nice to see everyone. Ohhhh well. After we woke up, we went to go eat Peking duck -- yeah, we still go there.

Saturday: finally had that morning brekkie with the friends (they loved it, they thought it was pfantastic), then headed to work for 2PM, was off by 9PM, then had Valentine's dinner with the boyf, the FPOE and his KPP. Thanks for dinner babe, yet another Vday down.

Tomorrow is Family Day, and I believe the sibs and I are going boarding at COP, as we do every year on this day. Usually dad takes us, but he took advantage of the long weekend and flew to Phoenix to get his golf on. So we're taking the lil' bro ourselves... and when I say "lil' bro", I mean the almost-taller-than-me-15yr-old who just got his first pimple (on his chin) yesterday hahahah.
Yay, don't care if it's not LL or Nakiska; I'm just excited to use my board and hit the slopes again.

Spotted: C + V?!

I love when on-screen lovers transition into real life ones, but seriously the GG cast can't keep their hands to themselves! All of the romances are all tangled up between real life and the show and eachother and I'm almost starting to forget who's who in the zoo. They should all just be gf's and bf's, I'd watch hahaha. I'm sorry for another GG post, but seriously these two are cute as f:
