GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #7: Using Verbs

Truly the epitome of a Long Weekend, in the past 5 days, life has seen me:

  • Go to the movies
  • Enjoy a dutch breakfast with my siblings (see GGGB Photo Album #4)
  • Work a Thursday night shift
  • Smoke White Apple and Watermelon Mint sheesha @ La Brava
  • Eat Mcdonald's and watch NHL @ a friend's house until 2AM
  • Drive a friend home
  • Sleepover @ the boyf's house
  • Stay up watching Spanglish until 5AM
  • Work out in the morning to P90X
  • Get paid
  • Have a shopping date @ Chinook mall (only to leave with nothing)
  • Watch the Flames lose, again
  • Pick up some Crazy bread
  • Celebrate a friend's birthday @ the bar
  • Work the usual Saturday shift
  • Hang out with one twin waiting for the other twin to come pick us up
  • Have a late night dinner @ the Cactus Club to see friend's off to Mexico
  • Be invited back in to my friends house to enjoy a bowl of soup in their company
  • Pick up the boyf in Panorama
  • Play Fusion Frenzy @ a friend's house with the Prestige Worldwide boys until 2AM
  • Stay the night @ the boyf's house again
  • Sleep in until 1PM in the afternoon
  • Eat pho
  • Study; while he cleaned out his closet
  • Attend the Youth Mass @ St. Thomas More
  • Celebrate Easter dinner @ The San Agustin's
  • Have a (free) massage
  • Watch the latest episode of Breaking Bad
  • Go home
Sorry for the lack of actual dates, it was almost as if I lost track of days this weekend and everything seemed to happen right after one another. But so begins a new week; the last week of classes. Expect to see none of this happen again considering I'll be studying my life away for the next little while. It was great while it lasted.

GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #6: Productivity

FRIDAY
  • Had ACCT Quiz #3 Friday; only 10 multiple choice questions can either be a great thing or a very, very bad thing.
  • Met up with the boyf around 2PM, got ready for an afternoon downtown.
  • Believe it or not we took the C-train down to City Center to get our errands done. Felt like the old days, haha.
  • Completed: obtained Security Clearance Check and paperwork required for Fall 2009 for the boyf's BN and visited the T&Co counter to finally buy a new send out my broken beaded chain to get fixed by a goldsmith.
  • Looked around Holts for a while, might as well. Saw Anne from Marc Jacobs, such a sweet SA for remembering us from my denim incident last year. Did I leave with anything? A replacement gold button for my Marc sweater, with a retail cost of free. Ballin'!
  • I did however almost buy these adorable black Coach high tops but they didn't have my size. "It's a sign."
  • Visited Henry Singer with the intentions of picking up Ray's water bottle that he forgot there the other day; ended up being introduced to everyone and talking to all the guys men there for a good half hour. It was chill.
  • Should I go up a class? Determining the Pros and Cons of an offer.
  • Met up with Kirk, Corey, Rusty, Jyes and Ale at the Hunn residence around 7PM, only to arrive to all of them doing homework in the living room, in silence. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT?
  • All You Can Eat Sushi = Eat All You Can. Can You All Eat?
  • Ended up at HiFi for KJ's birthday, see GGGB Photo Album #3.
  • Girl, where are your shoes?! Good night, regardless if I was DD. Cue Saturday.
SATURDAY
  • The usual, work 2-9PM. For once, the company is feeling the effects of the recession, except not in terms of sales =/ ...
  • I love when my boyf calls me at work, especially when it's to make plans for a date later that night.
  • Had a much needed movie night out, watched I Love You, Man at 10PM.
  • Who is going to be your Maid of Honor/Best Man? Friends come and go, unfortunately I found it difficult to answer that right now.
  • Came out of the movie a bit after midnight, only to find ourselves in another stupid snow blizzard!
  • Prestige Worldwide 12:30-2AM practice in Chestermere? Still attended, despite the harsh driving conditions; those boys are dedicated I tell you.
  • We finally got home around 3:30AM, had some late night snacks and drinks and then passed out ASAP! Perfect way to end an eventful night is falling asleep beside my boyf (who didn't shower after hockey practice, but I still love you). Hehe, cue Sunday.
SUNDAY
  • Going to bed late = waking up late. Meaning 1 in the afternoon.
  • What does it say about me that my shirts fit my girlfriend? HAHAHA
  • Late lunch date at BP's; it's bittersweet when your server forgets about your order and it gets put "on the house". Saving money everyday, I tell ya!
  • 3hrs later and I have to meet up with TP, DL and RN for a Manager's Meeting (and dinner) at Milestone's. Discussed very important issues for the store; madd confidential.
  • Another eventful weekend in the life of GGGB, cue Monday.

GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #1: He's Back!

Usually I'd be stressed out that it's Sunday because like I said before, there's so much work to be done. Nope no sir not the case today because the following week is READING WEEK! Not to mention the fact that I didn't get scheduled to work until Saturday... =/ so I really do have a whole 5-day-work-week off to just chill and cause some trouble (and by that I mean sit back and relax). Although I have a couple of projects that I should get started on soon, other than that I'm grateful that the majority of my tests (crammed one after the other) are done and over with going into the break. Bittersweet.

Moving back a bit to Friday: picked up Raymond from the airport, went to his house and unpacked, learnt some beginner chords for the Uke, ate pho for lunch, caught up on GG, HIMYM and FOtheC, munched on a bag of US-exclusive spicy cheetos, and literally took a 4hr nap. Meanwhile all of our friends were at M1, but you know us not very big fans of the bar - although it sounded like it was a Mcnally reunion and actually would've been nice to see everyone. Ohhhh well. After we woke up, we went to go eat Peking duck -- yeah, we still go there.

Saturday: finally had that morning brekkie with the friends (they loved it, they thought it was pfantastic), then headed to work for 2PM, was off by 9PM, then had Valentine's dinner with the boyf, the FPOE and his KPP. Thanks for dinner babe, yet another Vday down.

Tomorrow is Family Day, and I believe the sibs and I are going boarding at COP, as we do every year on this day. Usually dad takes us, but he took advantage of the long weekend and flew to Phoenix to get his golf on. So we're taking the lil' bro ourselves... and when I say "lil' bro", I mean the almost-taller-than-me-15yr-old who just got his first pimple (on his chin) yesterday hahahah.
Yay, don't care if it's not LL or Nakiska; I'm just excited to use my board and hit the slopes again.

Monday Morning

Already?! Damn, the weekend went by so fast =/. Feels like it was just yesterday that I did my TGIF post; oh actually while we're on that topic I may as well talk about the changes made to my weekend after that was posted:

i) the suspected Friday night dinner and a movie actually ended up being a sheesha sesh at La Brava, with KH, CH, JJ, EZ and SV

ii) Saturday night consisted of getting off work at 9PM; early enough to go out, but instead I declined the invitation to SB's house party, and studied at home (priorities!)

iii) my much anticipated Sunday breakfast is postponed to next Saturday morning, due to a conflict with somebody's work schedule =P

I didn't even have a crazy weekend, yet still I found it so hard to wake up this morning... but I'm assuming that this is the case for everyone on Monday Mornings? Blame it on the annoying alarm clock that starts off the day by waking you up obnoxiously. For sure I'm not the only one that wants to smash my alarm clock (actually I use my iPhone to wake me up, but you know what I mean), so for those of you who wake up frustrated, this is for you:

The Smash Alarm Clock by Matthias Lange

There's no better way to greet the day than to start it with a bit of violence! To turn it off, you simply punch it.

TGIF Update

Fiiinally, the weekends here. Tomorrow marks a week passed without the boyf, and I have to say it's gone by surprisingly quick (thank God for late night MSN and video calling <3). However I've turned into a little hermit crab though; my daily routine now consists of waking up, going to school, going home/work, blog, eat, sleep. That being said, I have to admit that being a little more alone lately has given me the chance to get caught up in school, and clear my head in light of some current events; so it has been productive.

Next week however is going to kick my butt! SOCI test, Tuesday. ACCT assignment, due Wednesday. PSYC test, Thursday. FREN and ACCT Quiz's, Friday. It's not until now having typed it all out do I realize how much shit I actually have to prepare for. Luckily I was blessed with a hard-working ACCT group and a sister who's on her way to becoming a CA; we spent 2 hours today starting + completing the assignment, so I can scratch that off of my To-Do list going into the weekend.

Well, that was quite the commotion. I have yet to say something about the blogging "beef" that's going on, but really is it necessary? I am on nobody's side. Sorry, but all I have to say is be and let be. We're all doing the same thing. You're a hypocrite if you don't think we are. Everybody is simply just living their own lives; with the people whom they wish to live it with, in the ways in which they wish to live it... so really who are we/you to come in and criticize? Think about it, and lemme know if you don't get it.

Going forward, a much needed brekkie with my friends is past due; the last one I think I had with them was for my birthday, whoa (November)! So I'm taking JJ and KH and whomever to this secret, delicious crêpes place on Sunday. Word of mouth and a Diaz siblings brekkie last weekend got me acquainted with the place, so I thought I'd pass on the good eats to good friends =).

Meanwhile I'm still here at school in the Haskayne computer lab... and looking around, there's only about 4 of us left in here, 1 of them being my sister. Where is errrbody? Oh right, it's Friday night, lol. I usually spend Fridays with you booooooo =( hope you're having a good hawaiien one! And as for everyone else, hope your Friday's good to you too. Mine involves dinner and a movie, I think. TGIF! xoxo gggb bye
