GGG Collabo No. 1: Jimmy Choo x HM

{fashionbits&bobs}

Need this exact little sparkly number in my Life... really, this is all I want from this collaboration. It would be perfect for your staff Christmas party (Dec. 6th), your outfit to meet Gabe (Dec.12th), your 4yr anniversary date (Dec.18th), your New Years Eve par... shoot, somewhere in there I made it all about me, huh? Well, special occasions aside, lately in the mornings I've been looking into my closet, only to be staring at everything - completely uninspired. And unsparkly (hmph). I feel like it is a famine of beauty in there right now... A FAMINE OF BEAUTY, HONEY! Hmm... the wallet does seem to be "full-er" though, however. Are we making the appropriate causal connections here? Yay, go me.

Invasion

I never used to like watching anything Sci-Fi. Never would've thought that I'd be a sucker for robots, outerspace, or aliens for that matter but look at me now! I am strangely attracted to Spock and sometimes I'll randomly make those noises that Transformers make while, uh, transforming. And especially after seeing District 9, now I'm seriously fascinated and totally into movies like these. Am I the only who CRIED in that movie? Gosh.

ALfie

After seeing these stills posted on Carolina's blog, I knew I had to see the film... got the boyf to download it right away and we watched it late last night until almost 2 in the morning. Sienna's character "Nikki" intrigued me simply just by looking at these. I was so curious to get to know her because she looks like a handful... and of course in the actual film she did not disappoint. She killed it. Along with the really, really ridiculously good-looking Jude Law, obviously.

"These Are Not Toys...

... these are works of art!"- NORMAN FAJARDO, avid toy art collector

The full set was available for purchase, if only I could've grabbed them all...
Instead my sister and I each picked one up, and I got an extra one for the boyf.

Les Fleurs

While we're on the topic...

Pretty sure the Boyf and I saw the exact flowers used in Horton Hears a Who? No big deal.

Afterparty

Not only is my boyf wonderful for sitting thru a 6hr pageant, but he took these shots of me once we got home. Kind of like, to preserve my very last moments wearing the sash... you know? It was fun. Afterwards, had a last minute (and right before last call, at 1AM) dinner date. Ordered steaks, talked about Star Trek, fell asleep beside eachother. My idea of a perfect way to end a long night.

Picture Me: A Models Diary

Wow, speechless. I'm a sucker for independent, unbeknownst films like these. Often times they are much, much better at portraying the truth than a big Hollywood picture released to theatres.

If you're in New York, you can catch this film (and 6 others) at the GenArt Film Festival.

EDIT: The GenArt Film Festival was April 1-7.

Just In Time

  • Diamond Dance-Off was a major disappointment, talk about a downgrade.
  • Congrats, Senior Mr. Candance! HAHAHA good job, Cuz.
  • Pretty sure you beat last year's record considering your 5 shots of 151 (plus all the others) this time.
  • Everybody got to play with the FPOE's Rebel that night, can't wait until I have one to call my own.
  • I don't want you to go to bed, mad at me. And I don't wanna go to bed, mad at you.
  • ACCT Quiz #4 yesterday, last one of the semester already!
  • On the same note, girl stop texting me about our assignment on a FRIDAY night...
  • I love Fridays, have the whole day to run errands and get things done with my boyf. =)
  • Like I always said, you find the best things when you're not looking to find something.
  • Men's Goofy t-shirt and faux leather pants; yeah, I'm confident with my style.
  • I think you're the first to buy these.
  • Had to cancel Shibuya with everyone, SORRY!
  • Double Triple Quadruple date @ the movies instead.
  • You look like Insectosaurus. HAHAHA
  • Waited an hour and a half for a table at the Olive Garden; people that had been waiting with us had gotten a table, eaten dinner, and left -- all before our group of 7 even got seated.
  • So many birthdays, I love it! Always something to do.
  • Julliard's tonight for Part 2 of LT's Birthday Celebration.

GGGB Weekend Wrap-up #6: Productivity

FRIDAY
  • Had ACCT Quiz #3 Friday; only 10 multiple choice questions can either be a great thing or a very, very bad thing.
  • Met up with the boyf around 2PM, got ready for an afternoon downtown.
  • Believe it or not we took the C-train down to City Center to get our errands done. Felt like the old days, haha.
  • Completed: obtained Security Clearance Check and paperwork required for Fall 2009 for the boyf's BN and visited the T&Co counter to finally buy a new send out my broken beaded chain to get fixed by a goldsmith.
  • Looked around Holts for a while, might as well. Saw Anne from Marc Jacobs, such a sweet SA for remembering us from my denim incident last year. Did I leave with anything? A replacement gold button for my Marc sweater, with a retail cost of free. Ballin'!
  • I did however almost buy these adorable black Coach high tops but they didn't have my size. "It's a sign."
  • Visited Henry Singer with the intentions of picking up Ray's water bottle that he forgot there the other day; ended up being introduced to everyone and talking to all the guys men there for a good half hour. It was chill.
  • Should I go up a class? Determining the Pros and Cons of an offer.
  • Met up with Kirk, Corey, Rusty, Jyes and Ale at the Hunn residence around 7PM, only to arrive to all of them doing homework in the living room, in silence. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT?
  • All You Can Eat Sushi = Eat All You Can. Can You All Eat?
  • Ended up at HiFi for KJ's birthday, see GGGB Photo Album #3.
  • Girl, where are your shoes?! Good night, regardless if I was DD. Cue Saturday.
SATURDAY
  • The usual, work 2-9PM. For once, the company is feeling the effects of the recession, except not in terms of sales =/ ...
  • I love when my boyf calls me at work, especially when it's to make plans for a date later that night.
  • Had a much needed movie night out, watched I Love You, Man at 10PM.
  • Who is going to be your Maid of Honor/Best Man? Friends come and go, unfortunately I found it difficult to answer that right now.
  • Came out of the movie a bit after midnight, only to find ourselves in another stupid snow blizzard!
  • Prestige Worldwide 12:30-2AM practice in Chestermere? Still attended, despite the harsh driving conditions; those boys are dedicated I tell you.
  • We finally got home around 3:30AM, had some late night snacks and drinks and then passed out ASAP! Perfect way to end an eventful night is falling asleep beside my boyf (who didn't shower after hockey practice, but I still love you). Hehe, cue Sunday.
SUNDAY
  • Going to bed late = waking up late. Meaning 1 in the afternoon.
  • What does it say about me that my shirts fit my girlfriend? HAHAHA
  • Late lunch date at BP's; it's bittersweet when your server forgets about your order and it gets put "on the house". Saving money everyday, I tell ya!
  • 3hrs later and I have to meet up with TP, DL and RN for a Manager's Meeting (and dinner) at Milestone's. Discussed very important issues for the store; madd confidential.
  • Another eventful weekend in the life of GGGB, cue Monday.

10 Things From Today #4: Project Rebel, Lent and Opus

  1. I'm beginning to think that once a week is not enough; I wake up easier, pay attention better and all around feel AWESOME on Wednesdays because of it. I want this day-after feeling errrday.
  2. Can check off my previously mentioned Top 1 Must-See already; watched MILK last night with the boyf and we both agree that Sean definitely deserved that award.
  3. Im starting to go thru TV series withdrawal; they are so mean making me go 3 weeks without new episodes of GG or HIMYM. Also looking forward to BB starting again soon.
  4. I have about 50% put aside for Project Rebel. I want it and can afford it now but this is something I really need to budget for. Give me 1 more month.
  5. Snow go away, I want to wear my new Wilfred pants.
  6. Lent begins today, I'm giving up blogging.
  7. Spring 2009 semester enrollment is underway; currently in a Business Law course as a Block Week session... f me how do you fit a whole semester into five 8hr school days? I'm scared.
  8. Tavi from Style Rookie finally solved my lifelong need to determine what Zac Efron looks like. Thank you, 12yr old genius.
  9. Opus Friday for JJ's Bday. Should be interesting, so much hype for this place from my friends who go there every single weekend and have so much drama to tell me about the day after...
  10. SYKE! (#6) I'm actually going 40 days without pop and iced tea.

MILK

After all of the buzz this film has gotten and most importantly Sean Penn recently winning Best Actor for his lead role in it, Milk is at the top of my Must-See list. The Wrestler, Revolutionary Road and HSM3 (one of these is not like the other(hint: horrible acting and predictable plot(but still so cute))) follow loosely behind on the list too. On another note: if you have yet to see Slumdog Millionaire, I suggest you make that ur life's number one priority. There is a reason why it's won/been nominated for so many awards.
