GGG Consumer No. 2: Ugg Australia Ear Muffs

classic tasman vs. marquis knit, all $75usd

...which ones, which ones? I need to order them online asap so that they'll get here in time! I'm just really having a hard time deciding: I really love the printed band of the Tasman ones, although the knitted ones are textured all over, which I love. Should probably eliminate the lighter colored ones (nooo) since knowing me - I'll have them dirty in no time. Let's see here. The color "scheme" for most of my snowboarding shit is white, gold and black so really, any of them would match and look dope on the slopes. Another factor swaying my decision is the fact that Stoneridge has the below shearling ones and I can have them ordered to my house by the end of the week... HELP! HELP! HELP! What's a (cold-eared) girl to do?!

Speaking of cute sparkly frocks, that Jimmy Choo x HM tank that I was fangirling over a couple posts back is going for $200+ on Ebay... alright c'mon it's cute, but not THAT cute. =/ I guess I can easily let go of it considering I just found out that this year we're not even having a legit staff Christmas party (nor will I need it for the anniversary, where we're going I need to bundle up)! The previous years we've done them at Calgary's ultra chic resto-lounges Velvet, Blink, and SeVen - this year (wait, this is my 4th Aritzia holiday season?!) we're just doing a little dinner, and we're not even allowed to bring our significant others :( Boo, although I'm sure the company has bigger and better ideas to spend their money on eh? As IYBC says, big things poppin' over here.

GGG Collabo No. 1: Jimmy Choo x HM

{fashionbits&bobs}

Need this exact little sparkly number in my Life... really, this is all I want from this collaboration. It would be perfect for your staff Christmas party (Dec. 6th), your outfit to meet Gabe (Dec.12th), your 4yr anniversary date (Dec.18th), your New Years Eve par... shoot, somewhere in there I made it all about me, huh? Well, special occasions aside, lately in the mornings I've been looking into my closet, only to be staring at everything - completely uninspired. And unsparkly (hmph). I feel like it is a famine of beauty in there right now... A FAMINE OF BEAUTY, HONEY! Hmm... the wallet does seem to be "full-er" though, however. Are we making the appropriate causal connections here? Yay, go me.

J'♥ Wildfox

I've posted about them hella but really the girls over at Wildfox seriously kill at marketing and presenting their brand. Makes me want to head in that direction, if only it was always this fun. Their photoshoots that they openly release (here at Wildfox Photoshoots, plus their Photobucket account isn't locked?) several times a year are always so damn California cool... not to mention that I think for most of them they do the photography themselves as well as have their own beautiful, gorgeous angel friends do the modeling for them. They are such an inspiration. Raise your hand if you wanna be a Wildfox girl! *raises hand* Anyways, they recently posted the latest set, titled "15 Things To Do When You're Really Bored" and here they are, feel free to follow these guidelines during Reading Week:

GGG Consumer No. 1: KO Flatte Nail Polish

Knock Out nail polish in "Calamine"

Finally got around to painting my nails a matte nude color over the weekend... doing your right hand is such a bitch. I seriously contemplated in frustration (after having re-done them like 3 times) to just bring the bottle down to my guilty-pleasure nail salon at the bottom of the hill and have them done for me, haha. Oh the always existent debate between spending time vs. spending money.

Invasion

I never used to like watching anything Sci-Fi. Never would've thought that I'd be a sucker for robots, outerspace, or aliens for that matter but look at me now! I am strangely attracted to Spock and sometimes I'll randomly make those noises that Transformers make while, uh, transforming. And especially after seeing District 9, now I'm seriously fascinated and totally into movies like these. Am I the only who CRIED in that movie? Gosh.

Tommy of Jak&Jil (fashion photography blog we love) has collaborated with Complex Geometries (line we love) to bring us these breathtaking photographs. The simplicity of Summer is perfectly emulated when you have that crisp, white shirt...

GGG to Vancity #7: Inexpensive Thrills

tee by AZFN.

I love being caught off guard with simple yet such genius designs such as this oversized pocket just dead-on in the middle of the shirt. It's like it's not supposed to be there yet it is perfectly supposed to be there at the same time. Who better to come up with that than William Anzevino and Richard Florence, the fashion duo known for their juxtaposition? By far one of my favorite (and funnest) pieces I own, and also not so surprising to me that it's from the Men's collection but as soon as my boyf saw it he knew I'd think it was sick.

sandals by sam edelman.

There was a section of the store that was dedicated to "last pairs" and after I had already purchased my tee, one of the girls decided (tactically, I'm sure) to ask what size feet I had, and from then on I figured it was destiny that both last pairs were itty bitty size 5's. I'm still totally into the whole tribal idea and from the intricate bead detailing to the real pony hair used on these giada's... the shoe just fit. I apologize for my lame attempt at turning this story into a modern day Cinderalla... but sometimes shopping is just that. Oh and another noteable feature: rear zip in the back? Don't we all love easy access these days.

Matthew Williamson for H&M

I feel like I'm the very last one to blog about this collaboration, but it's not my fault Calgary always seems to be slightly delayed when it comes to keeping up with fashion. The Matthew Williamson for H&M collection hit the sales floor just today - and thankfully I was able to pop by just before work. I ended up being a couple minutes late actually, all because I wanted needed to get my hands on something; what made it worse was the fact that they couldn't hold anything from the collection so I was incredibly rushed. Hopefully once I get back from Van, I can actually take some time to try on some of the other pieces (if there are any left by then). Although I actually find myself quite confident that there will be, since shoppers here in Calgary compared to New York or any other of the openings are way more nonchalant, or dare I say clueless; dozens of girls walked by the collection not even knowing what was going on! Shame shame. But more for me. Also a little disappointed we didn't get a lot of the anticipated pieces seen in pictures that surfaced the internet prior to the actual release (like this Silk Mix Electric Blue Suit!), but otherwise quite satisfied with what I ended up getting:

Modern Amusement

I was immediately drawn to this sweater as soon as I saw it come out of stock on Thursday night. You may be wondering, sweater? But Calgary is finally coming into it's Summer season! Well trust me on this, from the bright colored stripes, to the deep v-neck, to the amazingly light and airy cotton that it's made out of... this sweater is perfect for Summer.

It became even more perfect when I went to look at the label and saw that distinguishable little birdy... Aritzia now carries select Modern Amusement pieces! Especially exciting for me, who's been a big time fan of the playful brand in which the boyf has admired for a couple of years now also. Didn't even know they had a Women's collection. Grabbed the only XS, hadn't even been on the floor for a week but I loved it so much, my lovely SM let me get it with my discount still. Madd hook-ups!
