GGG Birthday Guest No. 15: Kristia, 18

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending Kristia's debut, held at the Greenwood Inn on Saturday night. For those of you who aren't familiar with this filipino rite of passage, it's basically just a huge celebration in your honor for friends and family to celebrate it with you. Girls, it's like your own little wedding (I recall hearing Shaylee's parents, whom we were seated at a table with, say: "Did she just change dresses AGAIN?", haha). As such, obviously this party requires just as much planning and preparation... months in advance to get the invitations, decorations, giveaways, and of course: the entertainment ready. Her cotillion (aka entourage) was what I was most looking forward to seeing, considering reading so much about the dances via Wednesday night tweets and especially since it consisted of some of my friends that I would consider family. They didn't disappoint (see more photos). All in all it was another successful debut. As for me? I opted out on having one and instead got Chuck as my present for coming of age. However, Kristia's dad mentioned in his speech a clever little con: as per the debutante's reply when faced with the choice of car vs. party, I too should've said "I'll get the debut now, and the car later!" First photo courtesy of JH Photography's flickr, the rest of my little batch after the jump...

GGG Collabo No. 1: Jimmy Choo x HM

{fashionbits&bobs}

Need this exact little sparkly number in my Life... really, this is all I want from this collaboration. It would be perfect for your staff Christmas party (Dec. 6th), your outfit to meet Gabe (Dec.12th), your 4yr anniversary date (Dec.18th), your New Years Eve par... shoot, somewhere in there I made it all about me, huh? Well, special occasions aside, lately in the mornings I've been looking into my closet, only to be staring at everything - completely uninspired. And unsparkly (hmph). I feel like it is a famine of beauty in there right now... A FAMINE OF BEAUTY, HONEY! Hmm... the wallet does seem to be "full-er" though, however. Are we making the appropriate causal connections here? Yay, go me.

GGG Birthday Guest No. 14: Yours Truly, 20

It's official! I am no longer a -teen... a little fact that my Mom reminded me of as she gave me a long, warm and fuzzy (she was in her bathrobe) hug yesterday morning. Let's rewind. The night leading up to my Birthday morning I witnessed a Prestige Worldwide 10pt-lead win and sat thru a cute little countdown in the stands. Ended up in the car with the Boyfriend and his brother at the actual stroke of midnight, and was really hoping to see any sign of the Leonid meteor shower on the drive home but the city lights were obviously overbearing. Got a couple of calls and texts from some good friends, then finally managed to fall asleep beside him. Perfect, so far.

GGG Birthday Guest No. 13: Aritzia, 25

{aritziablog}

This event is the top secret shit that I mentioned the other day.. gosh, that was hard keeping my mouth shut! Now I can finally talk about it: a one-time only sale that will run thru the dates specified up there^ on the flyer. We don't do this very often throughout the year so this really is only the biggest deal ever. Seriously though everyone it's gunna be nutty... when the staff is told to go into "Boxing Day mode", you know it's about to go down. Come celebrate the company's success and this quarter of a century milestone with us by shopping and saving (preferably at my location, kthxbye)!

GGG Birthday Guest No. 12: Raymond, 21

My Boyfriend^ turned 21 over the weekend! Now he's allowed to drink, smoke, gamble, and watch strippers legally anywhere and everywhere around the world. Hmmm.. let's go for pho and see who's down to watch a movie tonight? Sounds good, haha. I've been a fan of being a little low-key lately. But man, do I love just being here to hit Life's milestones with you.

GGG Consumer No. 1: KO Flatte Nail Polish

Knock Out nail polish in "Calamine"

Finally got around to painting my nails a matte nude color over the weekend... doing your right hand is such a bitch. I seriously contemplated in frustration (after having re-done them like 3 times) to just bring the bottle down to my guilty-pleasure nail salon at the bottom of the hill and have them done for me, haha. Oh the always existent debate between spending time vs. spending money.

GGG On Holidays No. 3: Happy Halloween

Halloween 2006: Jyes and I

What are you guys dressing up as? The last time I dressed up for Halloween was 4yrs ago in Grade 11, I was some kind of Joker (aka a bunch of old dance costumes that kind of went together and made something, haha). Anyways, since then for some reason I've lost all love for the Holiday and now it just frustrates me. Oh, don't worry, it'll reignite probably when I have my own little kiddies that I can dress up and gross out with pumpkin guts. Cute Halloween > Slutty Halloween. Have fun and be safe tonight everyone.

GGG Birthday Guest No. 11: Kaleanna, 2

Today is my our beautiful goddaughter Kale's 2nd birthday!

The "Terrible Twos" they call it, eh? Hahaha girl bring it, your mama can handle anything.

We ♥ you so much! Love, your Ninang Mandy & Ninong Raymond

GGG Birthday Guest No. 10: Daddy, 5X

It was my Dad's birthday a couple of days ago on October 21st, he turned 50 "something". The day before it he kept asking me questions about when I would be done school and how many more years I had left, etc... and it didn't occur to me right then why he wanted to know all those things so bad. He wants to retire soon. He works so hard every day for our family and I just can't wait to be done and make him proud... sorry, it's 1AM and I'm tired so thinking about all this was making me so damn emotional! Then I came across these high-speed action shots (haha) tonight and they made me laugh so hard and I can't help but smile now. He's sooo cute, hey? Love you Papabear! Where do you want the kids to take you to dinner on Sunday? :) I'll take suggestions if you guys have any!

PS: Mom comes home from Vegas this weekend... I feel like she's been gone forever.

GGG Down Memory Lane No. 17: Polaroids

Yes! Yes! Yes! It was announced in a press conference in Hong Kong a couple of days ago that Polaroid will re-launch the legendary Polaroid One Step Camera. To think that they even muttered the thought of stopping production entirely of instant photography... I remember having my very own when I was 11. I took it to Florida and loved being able to capture those magical moments and have em' pop out in physical form a couple of shakes later. Now I'm lucky if I even go once a year to go and get my digital photos printed.

So, in light of this joyous occasion, here are some Polaroids of my mother and my older sister during another "joyous" occasion we all know and love: Christmas Photos with the big guy. For sure that is the scariest Santa ever... no wonder she was crying...
